Thanks to Adam, the Suaineadh blog is now linked to http://www.kosmonauta.net/ :)
Another excisting news is that the Suaineadh experiment just got accepted to be presented at the SET for BRITAIN (http://www.setforbritain.org.uk/) in front of the House of Commons in London. Malcolm and Thomas will travel down to London on the 14th of March.

Team back home again
The morning began with an early wake-up at 7:30am because we had to check out by 8am. After packing all our baggage into the bus we were heading off to DLR for one more last time. The morning was filled with exciting lectures about the REXUS and BEXUS launch campaign. We can not wait to go up to ESRANGE :).
The Trainings week ended with a nice lunch of Fleischpflanzerl und Kartoffelbrei (German meatballs and mashed potatoes). Based on the rainy weather, the team decided to go directly to the airport and not stopover in the city center of Munich. We will visit Munich more in detail when we come back for the CDR (Critical Design Review) in June. Going directly to the airport was a good decision because the time went by so fast. After a "dinner" at McD, Jerker, Adam and Mengqi headed towards Stockholm while Malcolm and Thomas flew back to Glasgow.
We had a really great time at the Trainings Week with everyone. Thank you very much for organising the whole event, it was awesome!

Last day of the Training Week
The picture to the left shows the Suaineadh team immediately after their Preliminary Design Review with all the stuff that we brought with us from Glasgow and Stockholm.
Following a couple of interesting presentation from all the BEXUS (Balloon Experiments for University Students) team we went to the air museum in Oberschleissheim. After a presentation of Europe's ISS laboratory Columbus, we had an exciting guided tour through the museum. We had dinner in the amazing setting of the museum in the middle of all the planes, a very unique opportunity. The evening finished with a nice closing party.

Suaineadh had their PDR
Today at 3pm, the Suaineadh team had their Preliminary Design Review (PDR) at the DLR in Oberpfaffenhofen. 15 Minutes of Presentation were followed by 1hr 15min of questions and discussions. The whole team thinks that the PDR went quite well. Still a lot of stuff to do but we are on a good path. Time to do some socializing at the air museum Oberschleissheim tonight, its hard to believe that the Trainings week will be over tomorrow.

Trainings week, 2nd day

An exciting first day
The first day of the Trainings Week went by very fast, though it was a very interesting one. We know now that our experiment will be on the nosecone of the REXUS 12 rocket, yay. We also saw a 1:1 drawing of the rocket, its huge.
In the evening we drove to Kloster Andechs, a really nice view of the alps, right at the sunset. We even had some Bavarian food and beer from Monks, good times.

Lets get started with the Training Week and PDR
After a short night, all the REXUS and BEXUS teams were picked up at the hotel and driven to DLR Oberpfaffenhofen. The morning was filled with introductory lectures of the different institutions and lectures on the used rocket. With the knowledge that teams already need to present their experiments today, the Suaineadh team will probably spend the whole night working on their presentation. But first we'll go to Kloster Andechs tonight :)
Suaineadh Team arrives in Munich for PDR
The Suaineadh Team finally arrived in Oberpfaffenhofen early Monday morning. Jerker, Adam and Mengqi arrived on Sunday morning to do some sight seeing in Munich. Malcolm arrived at 9pm at the hotel and Thomas completed the team at 1:30am, surprised that someone was already sleeping in his bed (see right).
